... or tell me his.
As it was 2100, and considering the room, we quickly took up their offer to find somewhere to eat. We got in a cab as Ming gave directions in Chinese to the driver. It took a left up an alley, then wound round abit more and dropped us off in a dark corner of the town. We walked up a bit to find we were walking towards the police station. Nervously we followed Ming and.... lets call him Ding, into the police station.
The next 40 minutes were ...
... impressive. China is certainly more challenging than the rest of Southeast Asia because not many people speak english and the Chinese writing is almost impossible to translate because there are about 30000 different characters. There are even different symbols for the male and female toilets. But its great to travel off the beaten track and properly experience local life.
Dong Van, Vietnam l-lightning... the last of your bread down than the guides gave u more, and they wouldn't take no for an answer. We must have been much heavier for the poor horses on the return journey! We had a pretty nice group altho there was one hippy traveller who ate "Only what u can find in nature", it seemed like a miserable diet 2 me, living on raw fruit and veg in the cold and rain.We rode to the "Ice mountain" on the 3rd day but it was so misty that we only caught ...
Chengdu, China squeak_1912... We visited the sky burial site and saw lots of bones including a piece of spine and 1/2 a skull, that was enough for me. There were also lots of vultures hanging around which gave it a sinister feel. From Litang it was another bumpy ride to Kanding from where we planned to go to a place called Dege. 24 hrs on a bus to see a monastery! But a v v important one. We booked the tickets and bought lots of food 4 the ride. Up early the next ...

Qingwang mountain forest in Lingyun, China fox_777... Chinese food', which i came to get away from. The light show in the evening was absolutely spectacular, and probably half of Yangshuo was involved in it! Titled, the third sister, it was basically a play/show about courtship and how the third sister has to sing a song to her suitor and if he is suitably impressed with her song, then her accepts her proposal, reciprocates the ...
Yangshou, China benabroad... in a public toilet but there aren't any doors and walls. I guess I'll just have to belt her with a wok. I will miss the silly things Leeanne would do. It it's going to happen, it usually happens to Leeanne. I won't go into details but she's great to spend weekends with as something usually will and does happen. Kylie will be missed a lot. She became a great friend. We had our ...

Baise, China fox_777... eating them, only finished a small amount before leaving and being spotted in a local resterant eating dinner again. This evening ALL the food was finished. They loved the food and I think even got some recepies and instructions on how to cook it. The biggest hit was the curried eggs. This was a real bugger for me as I only got one and I love them ...
