... earlier and headed directly to amsterdam and my ferry home tonight.
As I raced on towards Amsterdam I soon decided that after almost 200 miles on this hard bike seat it was for sure time to stop and I setup the satnav to take me to the nearest hotel.
I finally got a good hotel just outside the city of Dusseldorf.
Tomorrow its not to long a trip to Ijmuiden and my ferry back to Newcastle and UK so I suspect I will spend a few hours wandering around Amsterdam.

Late for the train. We got on the taxi and got to the train station and missed the train. Another hour waiting in the ticket office. Finally got on to the train and left for Munich. The last time we were in Munich it was very cold but this time it was hot. We went to the bus station station. And stayed there for a while then got on the bus. It was a very long bus ride.
