    ... the doors opened slid around and jammed his arm against the rail. I did my good deed for the day and grabbed the top of the door and bent it back to get his arm out of there.     ... of San Giorgio Maggiore is situated. This line went around the outside of Venice rather than down the Grand Canal so we saw a different side of the island including where the cruise ships dock. Although it was sunny and about 19 degrees, it was chilly on the water. We wandered through the church and went up to the bell tower. We paid €6 each for the elevator.
