Room is tiny, but has character, and is on one of the canals that the gondolas ride past. We have 4 windows in our room, and a nice sized bathroom, despite the shower curtain-less shower. We went for a wander, found food and a white wine I liked enough ...

... and only very small patches of blue sky. We had to put our backpack in a locker area down a side alley but there were signs out the front of the church indicating where it was. We took photos while we waited the ten mins or so and marvelled at the number of people and how unaware many seemed to be of others around them. The water level of the canals appeared to be pretty high and there were planks and supports out ready all around in case of king tides. Just before ...

... along the Riva was interesting to say the least. SO many divas wanting their picture taken with the head thrown back & arm resting unnaturally on the side of the bridge with a dreamy, romantic look in their eyes. What the.....? Honestly, I just don't get it! Like our friend Bern at home, who has an invisible sign on her forehead saying "talk to me", I must have a sign saying "let me take your photo!". I have lost count of the people who have asked me to take their picture but I ...
