    ... We went for a walk around the Dorsoduro district. This was a bit more like it. Great sunset, saw off a couple of cruise ships then on the way back, got lost amongst a neighbourhood where every shop was like an exhibition. Quite interesting, still touristy but had some substance to it. A lot of shops had huge display windows, and there were glass makers, painters, sculptors and all sorts of other stuff on display.     ... in the Greek Islands as a maze but they had nothing on Venice. We also bought a map but many of the lanes are unmarked on the map and names are often hard to find on the lanes themselves.     It was a big day as we all anxiously awaited boarding the Azamara Quest. We arrange to be picked up by a water taxi at the hotel which took us directly to the ship. There was LOTS of boat traffic as we navigated through numerous small canals, the Grand Canal and eventually the port where the Quest was docked. It was mind-boggling how the drivers avoided slamming into one another in the over-crowed canals. There was a lot of 'wave-rocking' ...
