      ... on the pavement in the sun, or even sometimes just in the middle of the cobbled streets. They certainly dont get up for pedestrians and you have to walk around them. We still cant operate the sattelite tv and have given up on that but watch videos and read a lot. We have even found a charity shop with lots of english books and get English newspapers.       Hi all,
      We moved more south to get more heat. Hoping to avoid all the mad Europeans looking for the sun and sea we decided to try Silves. It is about 30 km inland from the southern coast of Portugal.
      We are now parked in a sea of motor homes all obviously with the same idea in mind.Mostly French and German silver tops (ie old people like us). Not a kid in sight, but lots of dogs, and big ones too. The strange thing, almost to the point of eeriness, is how quiet it ...

      I'll admit, living in the Rockies and along the Pacific Ocean had me thinking I had seen what the world has to offer when it comes to natural beauty. Lagos totally took us by surprise with it's turquoise waters, surreal sandstone formations, adrenalin inducing cliffs and wacky hostel buddy (Hugo). Indeed, I am now convinced the world has beauty secrets I could never have imagined.
