Last day in Thailand!

A travel blog entry by charlottec9 on Jul 18, 2015

I became really close with the Australian only last weekend, and it was really difficult realizing that I would have to leave him. I have difficulty finding people I truly connect with and feel comfortable around, and It's unfair that when I find someone like that, I have to leave/ they live at the opposite end of the world. Shrimp and pineapple red curry, mushroom and carrot with oyster sauce and fried chicken with cashew nuts. Frilly aprons for us both along with ...

... as our trough! We ate a feast of egg, veg, rice, noodles, pineapple and tea (which Chai picked on route). It was really delicious and was fantastic to cook as they do in the hill tribe villages! Refuelled, we continued on with our trek through more beautiful countryside and past farms of pineapples, passion fruit and lychee. We came to another couple of villages, the latter being much larger and more developed than the others with a few permanent structures. Here ...

Queen Mother's Home and My Home

... with Myanmar.

After touring her house and taking lots of photos outside, we went to the garden. The garden reflects the queen mother’s love for tending to flowers. She would often spend hours doing so, and even compared raising children to growing flowers. Now, her house has a beautiful garden of many exotic flowers—a place where Thai could come to enjoy flowers that grow in the cooler clime of the mountain. After lunch we descended ...
