... Our two courses (+ some wine & sparkling water), totalled 30 euros - about $45, including a tip (based on the current exchange rate - however, we are using euros we bought a couple of years at a much better rate!). After a quick phone call to my dad for his birthday and a coffee, I went out into old town for a spot of book shopping. I wasn't able to find what I was after but I did find a book on Lithuanian history in English. ...

... was Vytautus the Great, head of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at one time. He is the only person called 'the Great' in Lithuanian history.

We were back on the A1 withib 10 minutes, heading for Trakai Island Castle, built by Vytautus the Great. It was his favourite residence outside Vilnius.
