A wonderful spring day

... I was tired and hungry and started heading towards McDonald's (which is often the main place to have some lunch when I'm abroad). However, I noticed a place that looked just like Latvian "Lido" right next to McDonald's, and my choice was clear. The place was called "Delano". The food was quite nice, though maybe not as nice as at "Lido".
After the lunch, I went to some shops and did some price comparing because ...

Sleepless in Vilnius

Question: what is the proper dormitory etiquette for someone who snores really, really loudly all night long? Personally I think quietly smothering them with their pillow until the snoring (and struggling) stops is totally warranted.

Or maybe it is all the men in my group having colds and coughing everywhere and worrying I will catch it.... But it is not fair to approach Vilnius with this attitude. It is a nice town, but there is a little more scruffiness. The people look a little grumpy, less polished, not sure why. But whoever is their city landscape annual garden planter is great. such good plant/color combos ...

Mean Streets

... from the reception halls winds down into the basement. At the bottom, a full cooker, fridge (with space in it) and a big wide pine table where I could spread out my **** - right next to an electrical socket. The other three people were sitting on a sofa watching films on a computer. They were alright, but I just wanted to relax.

I spread the Vilnius map I'd got from reception out on the table. Straight away, two things jumped out at me. One was the KGB museum ...
