Every inch of the way I watch the satnav counting down the kilometres but they just never seem to be getting any less.

pleasant driving. This is a main north-south arterial route.
Stopped at Camping Corones. Luxurious site, with heated
sanitary facilities and a heated outdoor pool, but somehow we did not like it.
Full of Germans and very “ordered” parking.
... So - today was our first day in the Dolomites. We had a vision of what we wanted to do - but how to make that all happen was a question mark. We had an early breakfast so as to get an early start before the rain came in . . People around us thought we were out of our minds to have breakfast so early . . . "Aren't you on holiday?!" Drove the motorhome into town, parked and took a bus from
the bus station to Passo Falzarego (2110m). From there, we took the cable car
up Lagazuoi (2750m). The views were incredible. From the top station/refugio,
we walked higher, up to the top of Lagazuoi. This whole area was the Austrian
