One of the joys of having plenty time is that you can be flexible with where we want to go and how long we stay somewhere. We have a rough week by week plan of where we want to be but not a day to day timetable.

However this can lead to multiple changes to the days itinerary. We alway start with plan "A" but this regularly can change to plan "B" and sometimes plan "C" appears out of no where! The other day we change our minds several times ...

... boots got used for the first time. We were to up and down before noon so we were not out during the hottest part of the day. We were first to the top but there were plenty of other walkers out in the heat and they were Spanish. So it is not only "mad dogs and Englishmen"!

Even though the campsite was up at 350m the temperature didn't drop much overnight. It was still 30c when we went to bed!

Another spectacular day on the beach and at the pool. I think we've all learned that going to the beach means you'll be covered in sand from head to toe. Our beach spot today was perfect. We were right in front of a section of the Mediterranean where you could swim out and play on a floating jungle gym of sorts. It had slides, diving boards, and a large hammock. Another beach day! The beach in Benidorm is nicer than Torremolinos. There are no rocks along the shoreline and the water seems warmer. The atmosphere here definitely caters to the British, but is fun for anyone looking for a busy beach town. We had a great day lounging on the beach and playing in the water. ... first I was quite hesitant, but there were so many people in the restaurant it had to at least be edible, right?
