Las Vegas, Nevada, United States loopyl00... home-front. It was great to come home to the pool and house looking so great. Also to have all our mail handled while we were on the road was real blessing. We really appreciate all of that! Finally, I also want to thank all of you who took us in for a meal, a nights rest or just took time to spend with us on the trip or by reading the blog. We really coveted your prayers and we know that you were praying for us. We had a ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States pmschmi... même motif. Autre sport ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States mleleu... to check in. by this time we were starving so we went to the nascar cafe and sat at the bar, incredibly they had poker machines built into the bar, where you sat, they try to milk every last buck out of you thats for sure. after consuming a massive burger and a couple of budweisers at the bar while talking to another couple from new mexico. they had this challenge at the restaurant that if you ate this burrito then you could have it for free and get your picture ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States sandineil... a bucket (5 different beers) but then again, we did have a enjoyable discussion with one of the bartenders. As for restaurants, what a mess! Roxy's restaurant on the first night, got a 10% tip based on the total tax amount, the buffer on the second night (Sahara) received nothing as the other diners there looked like they would run off with anything we left behind. The House of Blues got a %15 tip based on the pre-tax ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States katd... many wedding chapels here (about 10 chapels on about 2 block streets)!!! Forget energy savings to reduce global warming here.... Overall, I had a great time in Wellington but not so good in Vegas. I felt sorry for Hubert as he wanted me to experience Vegas and like it as he does, but i cannot, unfortunately. We will try to put some photos here once we have a better connection. Tomorrow, we'll be leaving Vegas for Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon.... Stay tuned. Miss you all.
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States langiao16... for breakfast and jumped in a cab. "Where you wonna go" The Gun Store please. Woohaa! At this place you can actually shoot a fully automatic gun! Off course we had to do that. So I shot an M4, Krautz an AK-47. It's expensive and over in minutes but totally awesome! In the pictures you notice they put the targets upside down, that's because you tend to start low and then go high because of the recoil. Walking outside feeling a bit shaky ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States klompjes-krautz... even, but that is besides the point) the night before I decided to head up to the Mirage to go check out Sigfried and Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat to see the baby tigers. ($15). The whole exhibit was a bit smaller than I expected, but still very nice considering it was a hotel's exhibit. The first thing that you see is the multiple Dolphin enclosures, both above and below the water level. There was a 5 month old baby Dolphin, which is something I had not seen before which was ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States jeremystravels... a building spree, not just on the strip but the whole of the city, and is in fact the fasted growing metropolitan area in the USA. Just now there is a boom in new hotel and condo buildings, with some of the old entertainment features such as the Mirage Volcano and Treasure Island Battle undergoing refurbishment, so my advice would be to give it a year to settle down before visiting. The city never sleeps, but hotels are very well ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States andyfreshwater... minutes a thunderstorm erupts-pretty cool. After dinner, Erin attempted to get on the roller coaster that is in the middle of New York, New York but the line-up was way too long. We took the bus down the strip to Treasure Island to see their outdoor Pirate show. It's really well done and worth the trip down. We also checked out the Venetian hotel that is complete with its own canal and gondolas. In bed by 11:30-ready to begin our return to Ottawa.
