... well clear! We manage a good 50+ minute dive then head back to the boat. While de-kitting we catch up with Steve – seems like he’s taken to it like a duck to water, dropping to 10m on his dive and not really needing Wayne to manage his buoyancy very much (Steve’s a super-good surfer and lifeguard so he’s used to being in open water a lot which no doubt helps!) We enjoy a nice lunch on-board, then get ready for the second dive ...

... run to catch it. Ended up waiting for other late arrivals anyway - amongst all the Russians. Finally get onto our big boat, all ready to get back and ready for our evening bus. We got speaking to an Australian man whilst sunbathing, he was on holiday for a week, visiting Bangkok and Pattaya, he said he also didn’t realise Pattaya was so seedy (so he says) and that the islands were full of Russians. He was actually really nice and got a taxi back into the centre ...

... an interesting 90some days out of the country. I got to catch up with college friends, relatives I have not seen in almost 30 years, visit with old friends, make new ones, make friends of acquaintances, and even find old friends in the least expected places. Not bad!

I have no words of wisdom and I don’t want to finish this blog with my impressions of the trip or the world according to Roberto (I mean Ricardo … J ). I do want to thank everyone who read my blog ...
