          ... and from increasingly painful joints.

          I was back in my HUSE apartment Sunday evening. While it was nowhere near as bad as last year, the mold and mildew and stench were daunting. It's taken me most of three days to get the apartment semi-livable again. I spent three nights on the couch.

          The rest, including photos, will have to wait. And what a story I have to tell about all that went into the trip I'm taking to Changsha, leaving my apartment within the hour.

          ... these past five years as I, and I alone contemplate beginning my 6th year teaching in China. First year in Changsha, Hunan, then three years in the Guangzhou (Canton) area, and last year and this in Yongzhou (Lingling), Hunan.

          We visited the orphanage again today and said goodbye to the children. It was the weekend so many of the administrative staff were not there at the orphanage.           ... Our driver had to stop many times to ask directions. And even after all that when he arrived at the school we told him it was the wrong location.
