... been given the opportunity and sneak peak into the WHO world.

We finished off the week by hitting les bars, my first time ever... As the title gives away, we wandered bounced between a few different bars all with interesting names, and ended the night in a kebab shop at around 12:30, eating a wrap and watching Amityville Horror in French before walking back in the bise noire (black kiss - the cold cold wind that blows off of ...

I've been to a lot of ski towns in the Alps over the past five years and I must say the ski town of Chamonix was by far the best I've been to. So we decided to ski in Brevent Flegere and Les Grands Montets ...

A travel blog entry by genevieveswan on Jul 26, 2013

After treatment, lunch and a siesta, we headed up to the exquisitely beautiful village of St Nicholas de Veroce. There was a guided tour of the lovely, baroque Church by a very enthusiastic and informative guide. It was in French, but Celine provided an excellent translation which an English couple were also very glad to share. The church has been lovingly and beautifully restored by the villagers who also keep ...

... you are not in the middle of an unusually hot summer. And guess what?

Well, the evening outdoor temps are decent so you can open your windows to cool down. Do you know what the French word for "window screen" is? Don't bother looking it up, there isn't one. And guess what else? Open windows with flowers hanging right outside attract birds. See pic.

More tour watching tomorrow. Will be good to get another look.
