          ... and by the time we arrived (as our tour had started an hour late), we only had about 30 minutes to spend at the statue. There was an elevator that took us close to the top and then we climbed a few more stairs to finally stand at it's base.           ... towards Copacabana proved fruitful - we saw some famous footballers, got a photo with Gary Lineker, and managed to get on ITV during half time of the Brazil-Netherlands game (spot the Hibs hat).
