      ... Packed full of bohemian hippies banging on drums, drinking and smoking pot. It was exactly like the scene in Breaking Dawn where Edward takes Bella there. I had weave in and out of the crowd to make it to the base of the stairs just like Bella and Edward did. How tragic am I!! But thats what it was like. People were just chill, drunk and stoned.       Getting to Lapa from Santas Dumont Airport We booked a room from Antonio in Airbnb and he stay near the centre of Lapa district which is about 2 km away from SDU airport. There is another airport 20km away, Galeao Airport which is more troublesome to get to downtown.       ... in the favela, each and every household has a SKY satellite dish. The more dangerous neighbourhoods are closer to the mountains and are hard to access from the main roads.
