... t like gates you open and close yourself but a huge machine that you drive your boat into and it takes you down 100 feet or so to the lower level (or vice versa) and off you go again. Well that's the theory - but it being autumn and cold nothing was moving so it wasn't about to go up and down. The trees were pretty though.

Its been a relaxing and enjoyable time. Lots of hanging out, nice meals and stories from Karen's parents, Ann and Terry about life up north and other general chit chat. ... I wasn't able to get any sleep on my flights so my sleeping pattern is completely off but my nieces and nephew have kept me going so that I'm stuck on Canadian time. The 3 younger kids had changed quite a bit and I was so happy to see my nephew smile! He was so young when I left that I hadn't even thought about him being old enough to interact with me but he is a very happy smiley guy. In de winkel hebben ze inderdaad een grote collectie.
Weliswaar wel met allerlei spul waar je van moet houden. Na een heel mandje
doorzocht te hebben op zoek naar een steentje met een schildpad erop, bleken ze
deze niet meer te hebben. Uiteindelijk kopen we wat kleine dingen als souvenir,
maar er is verder weinig wat onze goedkeuring kan verdragen. En dat wat wel
mooi is, is ongelooflijk duur, want ...
