... and coke were worth it. Today is sunny and 27c, a lovely day.

Tomorrow is the last day of our road trip. We head off to Niagara Falls and then back to Toronto. Should be a good night. The PanAm games start in Toronto tomorrow and there's a heap of activities on all night. We've booked a different hotel, within walking distance of everything.

    Having a great time,

... 9AM arrived and some local contractors started up noisy work on the mainland side. No complaints though, Nettie and And have been disturbing the peace with saw and hammer sounds for over 15 years now with no let up in sight. And contractors who sleep in till 9. ... side by side for 20kms at about 70km/h, very tedious. At times we came across stretches of the freeway that had a slight grey tinge to them which Paul said was ice and driving became slippery, even though people barely reduced their speeds. Apparently if you make any sudden moves then that's a problem. In fact along one 15km stretch there were about 10 cars which had left the freeway and speared straight into snow banks on ...

... imbedded in the ice and you get shots of their drinks as you go buy.

As I have previously said the service and food in Canadian restaurants is fantastic and cheap. You get a high quality meal from mid $20 to $35. A pint of beer you can get for $5 during happy hour but usually sells for $8. I had a Manhattan martini in a top restaurant for $10 in WA it would be over $18. A litre of fuel is $0.75 and given our ...
