Couple days of hikes

A travel blog entry by bharvey

... tonight. We went out to the Coachella Valley Preserve Thousand Palms and finally actually saw water in part of this desert land-- not a lot but water just the same and a truly beautiful place. We have crossed so many rivers and creeks on this trek of ours but the amount of water, if any, is negligible. At the end of the road Dona Lupe had a great shop full of food stuffs, and a restaurant, but looks like pizza is the specialty - must go good with the wine. We load up on food goodies, wine, olive oil and are back on the road. On the outskirts of Tecate (yes, like the beer), we stop at ...
