          ... painting etc ready for the season to start.

          Next day we took a local boat, long tail & headed out to Phi Phi Lees & visited the first of many 'hongs’ meaning room. They are basically big rooms in the island either completely or partially surrounded that you have to get into by kayak or swimming & some by dinghy. Beautiful scenes clear water very impressive & kinda reminds me of Halong Bay.

          ... played a few games of pool and had a drink.
          Later we headed out for a further explore finding the golden dragon and made our way to the bar recommended in our travel guide........though as we walked in to find somebody ironing and nobody else in the bar we decided to walk on by!!
          We headed back to our room via dinner and got all up to date with our bits and bobs using the good wifi!!

          ... especially from the northeast, is much more Buddhist these days. The population is between 2,000 to 3,000 people (2013). Many Hollywood films have been shot in and around the Phi Phi Islands. These include "The Beach", Jurassic Park 2, James Bond, Around the world in 80 days, Star Wars Episode 3, Bridget Jones -Edge of Reason, Stealth, etc. We stopped and swam at various beaches, saw the monkeys, had lunch on one of the islands and snorkled. ...

          ... to let them reclaim the island, no such luck there. Now almost fully rebuilt and full of twenty something backpackers it was hell. Idiots drinking 24/7 with no respect for anything, it made me crazy seeing them just leaving their beer bottles and litter on the beach, who does that??!! There was barely room to move it was so packed full of people who had flocked there to see 'the Beach' (made famous by the Leonardo DiCaprio movie) we decided to give that one a miss ...

          ... tours. It's become dirty and expensive. The whole attraction to Thailand is the price tag that comes with it. While we had a great time we spent a lot of coin. And that's for SE Asia standards. There are now better and cheaper places where u can be just as badly behaved that still retain their charm as a place that's being discovered.
