... but I should at least be in their corner. It seems to me a lot of teachers make themselves the enemy. It is us and them. It's a constant battle for control - the kids want to control something and the teacher wants to control the kids, when really it should be about the teacher handing over control, handing them the keys to their own education. Okay, so that bit sounded a little cheesy, but I reckon it's true. And this is the rot I have to fight against. This ...

My thoughts about the food we had
Well, all I can say is our food experience has enlightened my taste buds for lots of different foods to enjoy while having a few Kingfisher beers as well. Curries are now one of my meals that I enjoy . All I can say is we were very spoilt with all the different foods that our Guides ordered or bought for us to try . A taxi to the hostel was uneventful, no hilarious dramas unfortunately, but my hotel is way nicer than I needed it to be. More like a proper hotel. All good, although it isn't particularly social, so I'm still lonely. Incidentally, the 'I'm roneree' song from Team America has been going around my head, partly for that reason, but also because one of the guests at the hotel looks oddly like the Kim Jong Il from the film. Like exactly like him.

    Floating Markets & Snake charming!

A travel blog entry by jhnewadventures on Mar 03, 2015

We got picked up at 7am and went over an hours drive out of the city towards the floating market. The driver tooted his horn more times in one journey than I have ever in my 3 years of driving, literally honked about twice a minute telling drivers he is there and to either go quicker or he is going to go around you. He tried to overtake so many times weaving in and out of traffic almost colloding with the otherside, it was mental how fast and wild they drive ...
