... it - seemed that it was very popular with the Thais there, which spoke for the food. I rented a bike and cycled through this former ancient capital scattered with holy ruins.
Next stop was Pak Chong my gateway to the Khao Yai National Park. Again very interesting and slightly testing trip......3 hours in a 3rd class train, standing in an aisle squashed between two toilets and with about 50 "tradesmen" squeezing through every ten ...
Chiang Mai, Thailand christine.thode... all went
well he seemed to understand Irish best of all and we went along
swimmingly with my limited Knowledge of it, every now and then we
would come upon a elevated hut were some wily local entrepreneurs
sold Bananas, now the Elephants’ were well versed and put up a fuss
and demanded there Due for carrying us up and down the trail, which
was fair enough, they were cheap and it was cool watching them eat
them, now around this time i made the mistake of trying ...
Chiang Mai, Thailand jimpad... br>

At the height of its power, the Lanna Kingdom extended its territory far into Burma and Laos, and southwards to Kamphaeng Phet a province above Sukhothai.

The Burmese conquered the Lanna Kingdom in 1556 ending the dynasty founded by King Meng Rai that lasted over 250 years. As Burma had occupied Chiang Mai for nearly 200 years, Burmese architectural influences are visible in ...
Chiang Mai, Thailand elinebouckaert... but with a flashing bum. We let him go and settled down with deang for an impromptu and very interesting chat about growing up in the thai jungle and life in thailand in general. One of our higlights so far as it was so real and as it was just fi, me and deang, something that most tourists would not get. After this we headed to bed for day 3 of the trek. Sorry for bad grammar and typos in this blog, im on the slightly awkward iPod touch!!
Chiang Mai, Thailand corkie... big grasshoppers, but the mole crickets stole the show. I wish now I had scooped all of the mole crickets out the pool drain as a child and fried them up. Maybe a little roadside stand on the side of 190 East. I could be rich right now. Shoulda woulda coulda...

I found some people at the market that were at the hostel and took them to Rooftop bar. We had a good time. Mostly talks about comparisons between American and English sports and travel. Same ol same ...
Chiang Mai, Thailand tex25... stalls were all gathered around a beautiful Wat, so the food court setting was really kind of magical, and while there was a lot of the same junk they sell at other markets, there was a lot more orignal stuff to. All in all, it was a great day. My bus ticket was for 9:30 the next morning. I bought an early one hoping to make it to the bus station with all my bags, before the water madness began the next day. More on that, and my experience in Pai to come...
Chiang Mai, Thailand emdowds... back, to the left is a room that holds the open pit fire and an old man who we were told was older than 100, and to the right are two rooms that we didn't get much of a look at; probably the bedrooms. Thankfully our guide could speak their language and had been coming there for about 10 years so he's actually friends with many of the people we would encounter on our hike. They had this big dish of rice laid out on the floor and he gave us some speech about it ...
Chiang Mai, Thailand zombywoof... start the engine a hundred metres behind us, turn the van around and drive off into the distance. alone with this gorgeous young woman, i wondered momentarily if she was leading me to a quiet place where we could **** and then, a blow to the back of the head administered, i'd wake up in a bathtub filled with ice, a shiny red scar across my torso weeping infected pus. aware that nipples are perfect places to smear high grade sedatives, and that if i concentrated on the area ...
Chiang Mai, Thailand cinema4... even took it so far that they had these people sized Donald duck meets the insane clown posse statues intermixed among the Buddhas outside their temple (see picture). The pinnacle of the seemingly gaudy Behead worship though has to be the Disco Buddha Phenomenon which features a bizarre 70's shooting disco lights behind the Buddha's head in order to heap even more enlightenment upon Lord Siddhartha. Courtesy of Rough Guide we found the antithesis in a functioning ...
