I flew down to visit some old friends who just got engaged, Justin and Emily. They recently moved to Ft. Pierce, Florida where the average age is about 81. To their credit, they do live right near the beach and have a boat docked about 200 feet from their house (The only reason I came to visit, but don't tell them). They had a new puppy that liked to steal pizza out of my hand ...

Fort Pierce, Florida, United States idmartel... 10 kts and the air felt cool. We headed for Great Sale Cay, 56 miles from GTC, and a popular jumping off point to or from Florida.

Once we cleared Carters Bank and Allens-Pensacola we hit a line of squalls that lowered the temperature by about 15 degrees and shifted the winds from the SE to the NW. To "hide" from these squalls we were going tuck into West End Little Abaco Island but with the wind shift realized we'd be blown up on the ...
Fort Pierce, Florida, United States takinbetz... nights to get there. Once on the road, Andy and I were happy and just kept on trucking. We decided to stay at the "Flying J" Truck Stop Plaza in Fort Pierce. I checked the trusty GPS and found a State Park nearby where we could gain access to the beach! On our way to the beach we went by a County Park called "Pepper Park". It looked uncomplicated, free and RV friendly. We pulled in, walked over the boardwalk to a fantastic beach!! All ...

STUART, Florida, United States mainship... Not cool to walk around in shorts because I look like a lepercy victim, however it's definately not cool to try to wear long pants in 90+ deg. weather. I did get to go scuba diving one time the water was warm and clear, I need to come down to the carribbean specifically for diving some time. Check the pictures, they tell a thousand words.

Orlando, Florida, United States huwwilliamsThis entry will cover the time I spent in Jensen Beach before I left to head back north on december 21st. December was the nicest month when I lived in Cocoa Beach for the winter, not too hot and the water was a nice temperature, before the winter storms. Just like california, the weather in florida is not always warm and sunny. In fact the winter I stayed it did snow ...
Jensen Beach, Florida, United States greenvanartusaWhen I got up I headed for the coast-Cocoa Beach and Canaveral Pier. I lived down here the first year out of high school so I could surf and I wanted to see some of the places I had been, especially the pier. That was a trip coming down from delaware. I hitchhiked most of the way and the only problem I had was in Daytona Beach and I'd like to insert my negative take on that place, and if I convince one ...
