Oh my - today has been so busy that I hope I don't leave anything out! First, we went to the Gulf State Park Pier, which is approximately a quarter of a mile long. ... NEVER forget the eel I caught when I was maybe nine or ten years old. EVIL looking, it was! Anyway, even though it was still windy, we did go to the canal. Larry & Josh proceeded to drown pieces of squid, and I made pix of a beautiful tug pushing barges. Larry caught several fish too small to keep, and one rock. It was a better photo op than fishing trip.

Today we went to visit some of Jaime's friends down the road but who stay on the Florida state side. Its all part of the same stretch of beach that spans two states. Interestingly, the water is actually clearer the further east because I learnt its further away from the mouth of the Mississippi and thats where all the sediment gets dumped and makes the water ...
