Tomorrow I'm heading up into the northern Drakensberg mountains, where I hope the weather will be good enough to hike and ride horseback over the next couple of days.

South Africa is really... white. Durban is dangerous at night and there
is a huge mall. They have blackouts every day for two hours at two in
the afternoon, and even the malls shut down.

... a Canadian show and I have been there. She just looked at me and said nothing. Oh right... there is the unwritten rule that you are not supposed to chat in business class. I arrive in Durban at 7:00pm and make my way to he hostel. I was surprised about how large this city is. Apparently there is more here than just beaches. I am so looking forward to sleeping in a bed and having a warm shower. Oh, the luxury!

... I was up in the alps; not africa!! We continued though to a small village, where a young woman was waiting for us. There were no other tourists in sight, and kindly she invited us into her home. ... we tried a few backpackers to see if we could camp there. No dice.. the city council had just declared all backpackers to be B&B's whether they offer breakfast or not.. We were told that we could stay outside the city and camp on the beach if we wanted. I was a bit bummed at the time, as Durban seemed like a really cool place and I was looking forward to hanging out in the city for a while.
