... Tikal NP, Guatemala, took about 45 minutes. We are staying right in the park, so we have to pay the $20 admission for 24 hours. That will cover our sunrise tour of the Temples. The Tikal Inn is really nice. Very clean and comfortable. Our room is in the back forty! About as far from the Inn as we can get! There is a pool. The wifi is limited to the lodge and the electricity is off between 10 pm and 6 am! We are in the jungle! More on our Tikal stay in the be Tikal ...

By the time we're done with the tubing, it was past 1pm. We were then taken to the eating place of this tubing company (cavetubing.bz) and they fed us lunch. Local food - chicken, black bean rice, and some cole slaw. Simple but tasty. But very little meat.
After lunch, we headed back. Before we reached the pier, rain started pouring down again. We were very lucky to have enjoyed the tubing in very nice weather - sunshine and not too too hot.
