    We've had an amazing day! After a hot English brekky we headed into York city and found the old wall. This wall used to surround the city to stop invaders. We walked for a couple of miles, and ended up outside Yorkminster Cathederal. We were hoping to hear the boys choir singing but it wasn't going to happen til late afternoon.     ... is a hill near Highclere, and during the Middle Ages when people had to be executed, rather than hanging them they were put in cages on the top of Com Gibbitt and left there for the animals to find.
    8) Many of the trees located on Highclere grounds were brought back from America and India by various Earls. The 3rd Earl also brought back loads of rhododendron, which has now taken over much of the estate grounds because it is so difficult to cut back.

    Saturday 6am London time (home 3pm on Saturay). Just arrived after 13 hour flight. Very tired but excited! Having coffee at Gordon Ramsey's Airport restaurant. London appears grey and overcast....surprise surprise!. Everything I expected. Also Michelle had a little running with customs and lost some of her face paint...won't go there just yet..a little sensitive! Can't wait to arrive at Milan. We'll leave at 7.45am for a 1.30minute flight ...

    ... from our backpacks. After the lady thoroughly searched our bags for about 20 minutes, we got some brunch from a nice deli called Pret. Right now we are relaxing and using the 45 minutes of free wifi we have during our 8 hour layover. We are enjoying listening to all of the different languages and accents spoken around here. The Heathrow airport is so big and interesting. We plan to go explore more stores later. More to ...
