... windy bends; obviously not that fast but it just hung on. It was a shame that I didn't take the 60 minute option as we were stuck crawling along behind trucks, buses, etc! When we got the chance to go it took off. It reminded me of Clarissa in some ways, four wheels, left hand drive, etc! All in all it was an experience of a lifetime for a bloke who never aspires to having such power or a desire to race. It was just a great inner sense of contentment and ...

... be on any movie set in a place that is now half way across the planet. I still have been unable to play catch up with the physical, as I can feel the ancient cobblestone beneath my feet, but can't exactly process how and why it got there. This is another moment where the journey has me straining my neck.

How quickly these things happen. How the lengthy flight instantly becomes a mere dot ...

Day 55 - Bern to Nice, France

I can't even explain how clean the campsite bathrooms were. The guy cleaning them was in there for hours scrubbing every inch of the place. You could probably have eaten off the toilet seat, that's how amazingly clean they were! The cleaner was really lovely as well. He helped me out when I couldn't plug my hair dryer in. I didn't realise that Switzerland used different power outlets to the rest of Europe, they're very similar though so I didn't ...

      Day 7: Nice and Aix-En-Provence

Bright and early we headed to check out Nice. Nice was the only place we stayed for 2 nights in a row! Gosh really miss not moving hotels all the time. But I have become quite the even more efficient packer - though this trip really brought much more clothes cos of the cold.

We passed the acropolis - some exhibition centre and their arts museum with a huge head ...

... with winding narrow paths filled with art and French Country shops. Then Philippe showed us where he used to live and work in Cannes. We ate a nice 3 course dinner outside on the terrace in Cannes along the coast. The food was outstanding. The weather was perfect. Looking forward to Monte Carlo tomorrow.
Hope all is well with you!!
Lots of love from Cannes ~
