Monte Carlo... The day Paul has been waiting ever so patiently for, and how excited he was to see it.. We awoke this morning at about 9am and had a nice breakfast of bread and jam with Audrey. There were expensive sportscars everywhere - not just expensive BMW's and Merc's (like I used to drive past in the carpark at the school I used to work at....in my Daihatsu Charade....) but full on, crazy cars that Steve reads about in car magazines. I've never seen so much money ...

... and I longed to wallow in a hot bath.

Stay for another three hours? My heart was not in it.

The rain when it started came not in drips but in large sploshes.
We dived into the area under the stands by the loos for cover, where people were fashioning bin liners before daring to dash out again, under the beady eye of the lady what cleans the loos, who was sitting with her ...
