Much to the amusement of Luke and a few locals I managed to get stranded on a big pile of pebbles while the waves crashed up around me where there was no waves before, don't worry guys I eventually made my way down. The next day we walked to the old town and wandered around a flower market. We stumbled across a burger joint that was a clear ...

... Roberta & I managed to do quite well - only loosing sight of Scott as he made is way onto the beach for the start. At that stage you had close to 2,500 competitors all kitted up in black wetsuits and blue swim caps lining about 1km of beach.

The mass start into the ocean was something certainly to behold! There were arms going everywhere and this massive white torrent of water appeared as close to 5,000 legs started kicking at once. ...
