... able to catch the bus from here. There should be a bus stop near the casino where more people would alight.

We passed a maccas on the way and popped in to get a frappe. It took a long time. We pointed out what we wanted and the girl seemed clear on the order but what she made us was not a frappe – it lacked ice and cream! It was just the liquid filling of the cup. When we explained a frappe had cream and ice etc she told us they ...

We then came to the ledge right behind the casino overlooking the water right where the fireworks were being launched from. We thought the whole night would be countries going back and forth with fireworks, but apparently only one country goes per night, so Canada was first and they did ...

We arrived into Nice late on Wednesday night and moved very quickly from the train station to the hotel.

Thursday was spent exploring Nice in the morning, then on the train to Monte Carlo - Monaco, where we had lunch at the port with Tamara and Stuart. Dinner that evening was back in Nice - where snails were on the menu!!
