... not bother to take any photos, and took a few naps in the car.

We drove through the Turnbull NWR - did not have the energy to walk the trails. It's the middle of the day and we did not see any wildlife. Probably everyone was sleeping. We then drove east on Cheney Plaza road which joins Rt 195 S. Our goal was to find the Chestnut hill outside of Palouse then head to the top of Steptoe Butte for sunset. ... Here you are surrounded by tall fir trees, rivers and mountain streams. Half way through the drive we got to the state boarder, entering Montana, there we stopped to have a look at the marmots and make up silly sighs with the Idaho sign (IDAHO, UDAHO!) After analising the marmots for a while we decided they were actually ground squirrels so our quest to see a marmot goes on!

... people at Walmart were real! We were not disappointed. I took a gamble and told Scott to point the RV off course slightly to take in Palouse Falls - the last remaining flowing falls of Ice Age Floods. A seriously cool drive with beautiful wild purple flowers all the way and plenty of horses and wheat fields. Rolling countryside until we turned down a track to the falls, where the ground drops away ...
