Total Miles 9,274 Got pulled over again, this time for tint. Real cool cop. Young kid, even had out the tint reader. He was on his "A" game but was chill and not an ass about anything. He checked all my info and then let me roll on. Was about to go to the Idaho Potato Museum, contacted my buddy, Jeff, in Utah. Ended up heading down to his place instead. Arrived a little after 2:30. ... near Utah Lake, which was our intended destination. Fortunately they brought that fire quickly under control, but what we didn't know is that there were fires raging in between Moab and Provo, where the Lake is found.
On the drive from Moab we could see dark clouds in the distance and the visibility was greatly impaired – Cara thought it was a rainstorm over the mountains, but as we got closer it looked and smelled more like smoke. And ...
... then turn right to Nebo Loop, a nearly 50 Km loop section on good tarmac which was to stage the day's regularity.
Unfortunately we could not complete the loop. The road was closed due to snow. So we climbed up for about 10 Km where the regularity took place, and then came back down over the same road to take the Interstate and head for Provo, our overnight stop.
