    Gilda & Joe had arranged a brunch with Gilda's friend Alexis at 10:30 so we decided we had time to check out the Eastern Market which was just 15 minutes walk away. The market was similar to our markets. There was a section with fruit & veggies and on Sundays there are arts & crafts and bric-a-brac. Daisy managed to find a nice fresh water pearl pendant.

    Day 1: Woohoo finally in America! On the plane the lady next to me ordered a Bloody Mary and so I did too... It's disgusting !! Arriving to the airport saw Alyssa waiting at the airport for me with a sign of a photo of me in Harry potter costume when I was 14!! Was lovely to see her again ! :) we waited for Maighread and were off to alyssa and were off! Had traditional American food for dinner: chips and salsa, quesadillas and spagbol... Not actually American but v yummy!! ...

    I took my Ambiant 30 minutes before departure but couldn't get to sleep. Eventually it kicked in and I awoke while we literally taxied at Washington Dulles. So three hours of sleep.
