    ... to try and see the monuments under lights but we were unable to find a parking spot and just ended up going all over the place so we just gave up and came home. We'll try again tomorrow night but this time we'll go on bikes. While we were trying to find our way home a police car came flying towards us head on on our side of the road and veered off around us. Its not enough that the taxis try to run you over but the police have to try and kill you as well. Big cities are dangerous ...

    ... us to the rental lot. There was literally ONE car available on the lot, and it was a minivan - our minivan. Several people were carless and not happy. Apparently there are a lot of people on spring break vacations in DC. We drove through light rain to our DC hotel, which is also sold out. Finally we are in our room, all with beds. Time to rest up, the adventure continues ...

    ... to spend there up to 2 hours and ended up being there 3,5 hours and would have wanted to stay longer!

    As hard as it was to leave the museum, I had to because I had a forensic lab scheduled at 3 pm :-) But before that I wanted to take a look at the National Mall and of course the Lincoln Memorial.
