      Yes, Sunday was Election Day here! Election for the House and Senate. The President, Juan Manuel Santos, was elected to his first term in 2010 and will face election for a second term on May 25th. The fact that the make-up of the House and Senate is now set (like in the US) makes the difference of his strength.

      ... inside the hotel grounds. People walk around with bottles of rum amd whiskey, or cardboard cartons of aguadiente, pouring shots for friends and strangers alike. Whereever you look, people are spraying foam over each other, or throwing flour, all the while drinking, laughing and dancing. There is no aggrevation or disorderly behavior, just people having a great time.
