One of the parts of this tour that I was so looking forward to was seeing the woman divers known as Haenyeo, in its prime in the 1950’s Jeju had around 30,000 woman divers, now there are just 4,500 most are in their 60’s. ... So I spent an hour or so wandering around the place before trying to catch the bus back to Jeju, a couple of hours ahead of schedule. That turned out to be good, because the tourist information woman told me the next bus was not stopping where it dropped me off (how is that possible?). She instead pointed me down some random road and told me to keep going until I found a bus stop (and before 12:30 because that's when the bus was due to ...
