We are visiting the UK and Norway at the end of May and first part of June in 2010. I have never been to Europe and am very excited about it.
Our daughter has been attending Kingston University this past year so we are going to see her, travel and pack her up to come home. We have family in Stavanger so we don't need hotels and ...
... without it but I guess a lot of people will have lots of memories of their time there.
I had thought of going to Raith Rovers game but changed my mind the day before traveling - good job I did - the Raith match was cancelled!
Anyway - enjoyed the game. Ended 2-0 to Alloa who now move into the promotion contention in Scottish League two.
... sundown we mosied off to the cinema to watch New Moon [murdering the adventurer in me once again..] which was.. *shudders* then just had a nice chillout in the train station until it was time to leave. My friends on the bus back, and me with the new friends on the warm train.
Nothing amazingly special, but it was a great day. And our new mates are coming over tomorrow for some more fun times! Gotta love travel. :)
Fun trip to Murrayfield for Scotland v Fiji.....lots of happy Scottish faces after the win, boys in fancydress, stag parties galore, chuc-chucs ferrying folks home in the rain, great cocktails in an Italian Jazz bar and running to catch last train back home on a busy busy Saturday night train heading South.
Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom helen-marie... any sensible person was shod in walking boots or trainers at the very least, also considering the temperature underground and the constant dripping of water, you would think a rain coat or poncho would be a must. No, no...herds of silly Korean girls were staggering down the steps and along the crater-like pathways of the tunnel in their flimsly (but o so fasionable!) strappy high heeled sandals - as they tottered Bambi-like accross 2km of uneven surfaces ...
Ch'onjil-li, Jeju, Korea Rep. clemandpo... Sightseeing was mostly beaches (which involves more food), and waterfalls. On the one day we planned to climb the Hana mountain (supposely the tallest in Korea), but drove back as soon as we arrived....there were millions of mosquitos attacking everyone. So yes eating took up most of our time, which was perfectly fine with everyone. Korean food (at least in Jeju) was all about kimchi, kimchi ...
Jeju City, Jeju Island, Korea Rep. ronandhelena... part was a private land and prohibited to enter. At the foot of the mound, a photo exhibition was open to public. There were a few pictures of which we had planned to visit and they inspired us. From there, we headed for Jeongbang Waterfall in Seogwipo by way of Pyoseon. Passing by a convenience store, we were talked by a shopkeeper in perfect Japanese. There seemed to be a lot of Japanese-speaking Koreans living in Jeju. We got off the bus at the crossing of ...
Jeju City, Jeju Island, Korea Rep. misocutlet... with every closing door another one of opportunity opens. Scotland is definitely a place I would love to come back to, much more than London, so it's okay if we don't get to see it all. I do have a lot of good memories to take away from the trip: Groupies: ß Anna and Zo- Aussies ß Michelle- Aussie ß Nicholas and Julie- Montreal, French Canadian ß Josh- Aussie ß Justin- Aussie ß Me and Mary- Mericans Phrases: ß "AYE!"Scottish "YES" ß "Very Sexy Scotland"Jamie, describing his ...
Edinburgh, United Kingdom nessamilanTravelling last minute to the island of Jeju couldn't have been much easier. There are over 3 dozen flights a day from Seoul, so a walk up ticket is still the same price, at about $70 each way. Considering how the Koreans, (and the guide books) talk about it, Jeju is a no-brainer. I haven't found it to be quite that yet. At least there's very few people around. The weather ...
