... into a queenslander and it's like someone's modern verandah roof ...and only 4 tables and it's very relaxed ...sit and sip a margie or two watching the moon do its thing on the water of the med ...and then it's time to hit the tables ...roulettes my fav and I manage to have a good win so we actually get to play for quite some time ...even have a nice black €100 chip in my hand for a while ...until ...

... some of a series of Picasso made plates would look good on my dining table! We had a stunning meal in the town (not aided by the cigar smoking of other patrons - I am finding smoking here to be very intrusive), visited the small antique market where there was lots of Jewellery (with Brian holding his breath!) and walked through the old town before returning to Nice. ... to a room died pretty quick when we opened the door of the cabin to find it could roughly fit 2 single beds with half a meter between them. We then had to move cabins due to not having hot water. I gave up on getting hot water after the second cabin, I was not moving again. The hot water thing seemed to be very much an optional extra in Venice. ... Patrick was a great tour guide & I managed to grab a few things to take home, like herbs de Provence, dijon & tarragon mustards & French sea salt. The wine section was out of this world, rows & rows of wines & I had no idea how you choose a bottle. So, I went by the pretty labels!

... profusely apologized that our room would not be ready for another 30 minutes, and gave us a voucher to get drinks at the bar while we waited. This is where the 18E/each cocktail comes in. Worth it (when you're not paying for it)! Our room is gorgeous, and we spent a while lounging at the rooftop pool, where I took my 4th sun nap.
