I always found it heaven to cross the border, feeling as if I was driving all alone on the highway. Which in fact was often true on the West-Terai road, leaving the cyclists and the bull-carts uncounted for. ... to a really posh hotel and went in for tea. We immediately loved it and decided to stay a few nights. They were really lovely and gave us the Delux Suite which happened to be our own chalet type accommodation overlooking the river. The two days we went into the national park to look for tigers were failures, didn't see a thing accept a few moneys and a do few deer. Today we got off to a slow start - morning on the Ganges, a look at a Jain temple, then onto the road for what should have been a relatively easy drive. We got caught at a number of train crossings, in one political rally in a city, and got dead-ended at an unfinished bridge, so arrived in Corbett National Park at sunset. ... it was good to try something that we'd have not been able to find had we been on our own.

This afternoon the girls treated themselves to massages in the spa while I read my book. We're just having some down time now before going for dinner and a celebratory drink: Lauren found out today that she's passed 2 more exams, 11 down with more to 3 go!

There are no photos with today's entry I'm afraid as the WIFI isn't performing too well.
