... Day. It is a public holiday in Italy today, Remembrance Day, so lots will be closed. Had breakfast and took the advice of Vittorio the owner and headed to the town of Gubbio. He said it had an old town and interesting architecture. He also told of a man and his relationship with an evil wolf and it is legend in the town, saw statues of it everywhere. Nearby are other Roman ruins that indicate quite a change in street level over the last two millennia. Walked to and along the river and briefly watched some canoeists doing some slalom course work.
