    ... it's weird not having a 'base' anymore - when I've travelled so far in China, it's felt so good coming back to my familiar apartment, seeing my friends, catching up. It's nice knowing somewhere so well - having our favourite snack places, lunch places, bars and coffee shops.     ... no AC. For me, it was the demands of Mastery Learning with a heavy curriculum and the constant extras added on. I grew very fond of my class, though, and they made everything worthwhile :)

    ... other 2 in August. The 2 Americans are both having their babies in Hong Kong and not going back to the States. Many of the younger staff prefer teaching abroad and have no desire to return home, at least for this stage of their lives. Certainly for the Americans, the money is much better than in the US and the health plan is a BIG bonus.
