petrol so we're thinking it was a Walmart error not a card error.
Still, it added half an hour to our trip. Plus we overshot our
destination as we got engrossed in a conversation with Josh about
immigration and Muslims and missed our turn off so add another 15
minutes there too. All in all, a driving and messy day! But the RV
Park is nice, the people are super friendly and helpful, the WIFI is

Sunday 23 to Wednesday 26 August

Now starting to get into the "early morning departure" routine, the little EZ was back out into the sunshine and ready to fly by 0830hrs! We said our goodbyes and heartfelt thanks to Thom and Veronica; they waved us off as we took off to the east, and to our surprise we encountered a bank of low cloud/fog ahead. A quick turn to the west and we set course for Mississippi, inland rather than following the Gulf coast due to the many ...

It's almost surreal to be along the southern most rim of our country, where we've never been before, and where so much remorseful history lives. With every gawk at a antebellum mansion we made, part of me also felt shame in such opulence at the hands of hundreds of thousands of slaves. Living history does stir a lot inside one's being.

The blog first provided (and continued to provide) a way to document each day just for myself while the experiences were still fresh (as well as providing an outlet for commentary where it felt right to add it within the context of my travels), and then once I had a few days’ worth ...
