      ... Joan took us down to the Hungerford Bridge, which spans the Thames at the Embankment. The sun was low in the sky and for a few moments the sun illuminated St Paul's Cathedral and the surrounding spires were casting a shadow across it. The sun reflected of the gilded details of other buildings, which added to the magic of the sunset.
