      Kong Lor caves

A travel blog entry by tomandhannah on Jan 14, 2015

When planning our trip, the Kong Lor caves was one of our most anticipated stops. It did not disappoint! The bus journey from Vientiane to Kong Lor was great fun! A travel blog entry by sting on Nov 07, 2014

Another 8 hour day to do 160km, some of it on potholed dirt road through the rice patties as the developed highway dwindled. More lake country, karsts and farm land.

Passed through Lak sao and had geat beef noodle soup for lunch, then continued to Kong Lor village. The village was ...

... by hill tribe people. We visited in the village for a while and struck up a conversation with a German tourist named George. 20 years ago he hiked the PCT and he knows Truckee very well as his former girlfriend lives there-and Rick knows her! George is on a 4500 mile bicycle ride that began in Hong Kong. We are amazed that he could cycle these roads!
