Finalement, la Thailande.

... Thailande.

The floating markets at Chataberry

... of not seeing each other we started right back where we left off. It was really nice to have someone here that knew me from way back when. You see when we first met I was still monolingual and hadn't left the country but now quadra-lingual we spent the vast majority of the time communicating in German. anyways the second day we did a day tour of the floating markets. It is quite hard to describe the floating markets because really it's ...

Blisteringly hot Bangkok

... Next we set out to have our first fitting of the suit and dress, going via the hostel for a shower as we were a bit sticky! Don't know how useful it really was as we soon heated up again on stepping out into the street!
We enjoyed taking the river boats up and down the city, it's a cool and cheap way to get around the city as the roads are a bit crazy with tuk tuks, bikes, scooters, cars and vans zipping about everywhere.
Heading north tomorrow on the bus to Chang Mai.

... he was late by about 10 minutes.

They've got a really nice, simple life going on out in the country there. Riding down the tiny, winding roads on a still cool morning with no real traffic in sight, staring out at the endless little plots that people were tending, breathing in the clear air (no small feat only one hour from Bangkok); it all made me really appreciate what they have there. I had the same feeling again later in the evening as Jun and I ...

... headed out the west, escaping the heat and madness of BKK. They do things a little different at this terminal in that you get on the bus first and then you buy your ticket (all 41 baht), the person gives you a ticket and then another guy comes by later and takes the same ticket. I still can't figure out that part because the bus hadn't made any stops yet and it's not like there was any place that someone could have hid to escape the first round...I was in NP ...

Calm Malaysia to crazy Thailand

... to the area of civil unrest or it could have been to stop thefts as we were handed a leaflet about protecting ourselves from theft whilst onboard. Going back to the border, there was a very strange notice, which stated rules of entry into Thailand for ‘Aliens’, that’s us tourists. It described how if you looked like a hippy you could be refused entry, a hippy look includes wearing a waistcoat without t-shirt, long unwashed hair and inappropriate shorts amongst ...

... ll win us this battle by morning I tell you, lay your siege at our door any time....

...This is nothing like the blackened coup Kratie suffers every night. Another rude awakening. If I am tired why am I roused with such fierce panic every time? I turn my head left to see Bangkok beaming up at the night. Camber through the superhighway of dreams under Kraftwerk rhythmic lighting and the granulated drone of the rain, and we press on towards the pulse.

It had photos of him playing different instruments, meeting various celebrities and other royalty, getting out there with the people and working on projects as well as showing off some of his artwork and photos. The next room was a room dedicated to parasites and included preserved worms of varying kinds and horrifying photos of the damage they can do to the human body ...

... goes off, yeah that's right, 6:00am. What an awful time to wake up. We got ready and took the BTS to Victory Monument which is also a minibus hub. We were told by our friend that there is a minibus that goes to Damnoen Saduak but that turned out to be misinformation. There is a bus that stops nearby but it takes 1.5 hours to get there, then another bus taking 30 minutes would need to be caught. This is 2+ hours to get to a place that ...
