We had a lovely train trip from Berlin to Prague today. It took nearly 5 hours, and the countryside was delightful. It was flat farming land, mainly wheat, till Dresden, then there were a few gentle hills until the River Elbe. The train track ran right beside the river, and on the opposite side were the most amazing rock formations, on the edge of a great escarpment. ... an ambulance to arrive. The man had responded and was taken away sitting in a wheelchair. The quartet came back on stage (they had all gone to assist the man) and the concert continued. It finished to a standing applause which demanded an encore. On reaching the station our train was delayed for an hour allowing us plenty of time to write postcards. We are now ensconced in our little cabin tucked up in our bunks. Night night. ...
... and walked back to meet the boys at the Hostel. Hanging around the Hostel we found out that everyone was heading to the Holi colourfest. It’s like the one they do in India where coloured chalk is thrown around and everyone gets covered. They were leaving at one, so we all went out and bought plain white shirts. There is something hard to put into words about what makes Praha so unique. Eastern Europe really feels different than Central Europe. This may sound weird, but remnants of Soviet rule can still be found in the city and the people: the city boasts some creepy art, and the people seem guarded when you first interact with ...

I wish to mention however at this juncture, that Prague is such a diverse city, mixing the old with the modern generations. A city which has something to offer everyone who visits it, from top designer shops, to World Class Opera, to incredible culinary delights, to a Nightlife that rivals some of the best in the world.
