... upsetting that the tour company continued with a tour to see a mountain that they knew would not be visible without notifying passengers first. It was very upsetting when we were not able to get the bullet train tickets that we had already paid for and then had to pay out of pocket to get back home.

By the time we go back to the bus stop, she arrives with her car and tell us to jump on: she's driving us to the festival! I almost cry for such kindness! I wish I could thank her better than an excited Arigatoooooooo...but damn...how annoying having language barriers!! Shibazakura festival is packed with tour ...

So after a relaxing time in Ito I wanted to head towards Mt Fuji to maybe catch a glimpse of this elusive peak, apparently you could see its snow covered peak from areas around Ito but every time I looked or went to a viewpoint it was shrouded it cloud, so after realising that even though it looked close on the map and straight across the country it was to mean either going back to Tokyo and across or two trains and a bus, either way ...
