... must have lost 5 pounds by sweating so much in the 38 degree weather with 95% humidity or maybe it was that and the fact i wear pants and a tucked in shirt with a tie..... Either way Thailand is amazing and the culture is what impresses me the most, I find helping, cheerful individuals who are willing to do anything to help you out. What more could I ask for? Money? No chance money could give me what Thailand has in the past 2 weeks.

... village just outside Pattaya. It's a beautiful three bedroomed bungalow in a gated community. Most of their neighbours are ferang (the term uses to describe foreigners in Thailand) men with Thai wifes. Over the time we stayed there we got to know their neighbours quite well and on the whole they were all bloody nice chaps. My favourite was a cockney called Tony who is a retired gangster. I'm quite sure that half of the things he said was complete lies but he was a great character ...

... relation to which one will not find guidance to in any publication. Playing pool by the swimming pool in our compound was Mark (see above) and his feamle companion (cost = 10 pounds per day). In such a scenario, it is difficult to know whether (1) to be open and affable or (2) to feign blindness and only to speak if spoken to (I’m sure other options also exist). I opted for (2) and the recently acquainted lovers soon disappeared into his poolside home…

... at our room but couldn't get the plugs to fit. We went back downstairs and the guy got the aus plug to fit into the adaptor. We then wandered downstairs to the shopping mall beneath us in search of a supermarket. We saw a few good places to eat over the next few days, including a place like sushi train but instead on the train are all different soup ingredients. On the tables are big pots of hot water and you make your own soup!  We found a supermarket after wandering about and ...
