They hatch in September and then leave for Africa, but one of the fisherman (who was also selling blue crab meals  from his boat at the mouth of the river) was able to bring "Sultan", a 100 year old  loggerhead turtle to the surface by feeding him the blue crab.  Sultan stays around  all year, as do a few of the other turtles, so we were able to see him up close and get some pictures of him.  We had a scenic ride in the boat through the reed canals and got out to view some late ...

4 days aboard a boat off the coast with a 6 year old, a five year old and most obviously an arm band totting 18 month old. Were we mad or would this work well?
