      ... enjoy our time in Ventimilia - we each selected a flavor and were anticipating little one-scoop size bowls. Wrong! As you can see in the picture we each ordered a giant sundae version. Ordering in a language you don't speak is always a gamble. In this case though, I think it really worked to our favor.

      So we arrived at the campsite at Imperia with another problem with the Alarm Siren Sounding and the Engine Immobiliser kicking in... We now have 3 problems still to sort out, the Fiat Speedometer, Kitchen Tap and the Alarm..! Claim with Amex being processed for the Water Diesel and the repair from the Fiat Dealer to flush the system and just to keep everything ticking along also contacted AGIP Service Stations HQ... Can't do any ...

      ... Lots of tourists but it still has a charm with its narrow streets and view down to the ocean. Dropped into Vence on our way through to Menton.

      Menton was our final destination. It is a scaled down version of Nice with lots of people in the sunshine sunbaking on the stony beach and lots of grand hotels. Enjoyed dinner on the esplanade looking out over the turquoise blue ...

      Monday 6 October

      We set out to find the 'most beautiful' village of Apricale. What we did find was terrible,
      narrow roads and roads where half the road had disappeared due to landslides. The views we got were amazing as in the winter the area is a cross country skiing route. However the nerves were a little frayed; and I wasn't even driving.
