... to ride - horse, camel or carriage. I decided no to go for the camel. based on past experiences from another rider, so the horse it was! Which ironically was named Buttercup (she was a grey one) and quite stubborn, never wanting to go the way she was suppose too, except coming back in, she decided to run. One rider went for the camel, and that was cool. The wind was brutal! It comes off and just whips right into you! The ground is not even, to make it even better! But ...
... in Cairo we could luckily get in a trip to the pyramids at the start of the next tour.The day started as normal with breakfast before hopping into our van to head for Giza, well it wasn't the weekend anymore and the traffic was terrible with even more horns and even more darting into non-existent gaps. The driver though new a thing or two and about a dozen side streets and sharp turns later we were on the freeway towards our destination.

At the Dashur site, where you would have traditionally waited 2-hours to get into the pyramid, we were the only people there, getting free reign of the place. ... still living in Cairo. There was a big event going on at the Opera House they invited me to, so me Jacob, the only other tourist I've met so far, headed over. There was an apparently very popular Egyptian rock band performing (or at least performing popular songs), so that was a pretty good time.
