This was a day of travel Thai style, slow and long! The alarm went off at 6.30am and we left soon after. The hotel door man hailed us a taxi. ... at the thing that seems the most extreme yet! We counted down, 3,2,1 and popped them in our mouths. They were crickets and the legs were a little weird as they kind of crept up under your tongue, but they really weren't bad at all! I like them a ton better than peanuts or almonds. The hard part is not focusing on what you are putting into your mouth, and just enjoying the flavors that follow!
