This hotel has everything a traveller could want - a pool, wifi and even poolside massage. It was comfortable and reasonably priced. The service was friendly.

That sums it up. They just weren't really communicative. I wouldn't recommend it.

Considering how much I disliked Cambodia on my first day here 4 years ago, it's somewhere I definitely feel a gravitational pull to now!

I had a morning flight out of Don Muaeng at about 10am so after leaving the apartment, hopped in a cab and made it to the airport in 20 minutes (amazing considering it was peak hour!) and then proceeded …

Hello Cambodia! I have finally arrived at Siem Reap International Airport at 10:30 a.m. The flight here was a total of is 27 hours and 35 minutes with one long stopover in Guangzhou, China for 16 hours and 45 minutes which is most of the travel time. There were a lot of shops in Guangzhou and plenty to look at.

Don't get me wrong - I loved our time in Borneo, but it was so nice to feel dry and Siem Reap was just that - hot! Again a really nice hotel and 5 days of having a base - we could really get comfy. We spent a few days chilling around the pool and taking in the sights of pub street and then do what we came to do which was to explore Angkor. First we …

... at the thing that seems the most extreme yet! We counted down, 3,2,1 and popped them in our mouths. They were crickets and the legs were a little weird as they kind of crept up under your tongue, but they really weren't bad at all! I like them a ton better than peanuts or almonds. The hard part is not focusing on what you are putting into your mouth, and just enjoying the flavors that follow!

We have spent 5 nights at the beautiful Angkor ...
