    We have spent the last few days obsessed with looking at the weather forecast for Malta. It changes everyday there seems to be a good chance of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds this weekend but at least it should be warmer than at home. With our waterproofs packed we set off early for Heathrow, but being half term the traffic through Oxford was not a problem and with the easy on site parking made a smooth journey to Heathrow .Meeting up with Simon and Elly ...

    Road Trip!

    ... for the afternoon. We didn't have much in the way of specific agenda (remember what I said about being touristed out?), but had a pleasant time wandering around, got stuck in a horrendous traffic jam, and had some really tasty Indian food.

    Finally we headed down to London (well, to Heathrow, which is pretty far out of London). The place we stayed was pretty fleabag, but hey, at least it had walls!

    This trip topped the day off. It had been a bit frustrating today, as things hadn’t gone quite to plan and this definitely made up for it.
