We have spent the last few days obsessed with looking at the weather forecast for Malta. It changes everyday there seems to be a good chance of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds this weekend but at least it should be warmer than at home. With our waterproofs packed we set off early for Heathrow, but being half term the traffic through Oxford was not a problem and with the easy on site parking made a smooth journey to Heathrow .Meeting up with Simon and Elly ...

I just love all the ...

... first baby, and I keep thinking although it's a very different circumstance, they must be feeling a similar thing. Excitement, nerves, and people asking them whether they're ready for something they've yet to experience and all you can do is prepare for as much as you can but in truth, you just are/have to be ready when the time comes! I've pretty much got everything I need and already know I have too much. I have some ...

... but others there would be a destination in mind and we would find B&Bs when travelling in Europe. Her round the world trips and her trips photographing for missions were different of course. More complex but looking at the pictures and hearing her stories there was always that sense that while the wider trip was structured, the details of the day and what might happen were often left to chance. How else would she have ended up on the back of a motorbike or taking ...
