... forget that we are on a budget. Hua Hin although beautiful, felt too much like a sea side resort for us and not a true reflection of Thailand or Thai culture. One of the highlights of Hua Hin for me, was the fantastic night market, selling almost anything you can think of from jewellery, food, clothing, CDs, souvenirs, bags, ornaments, china, lights etc, the list goes on. ... other men who stood on the lower step the whole time! the Thai people are so generous we were both offered food and assistance etc by our travel companions, and survive despite the language barrier. Arrived in the evening at Hua Hin and got to our hotel at 6ish, ventured out and once again we where faced with the Thai bars with more women then men in and many Farangs ...

... before heading back to the hotel to collect our bags and head for the bus centre in the town. We managed to get a bus for 80B each taking and hour and a half which we were pleased with. Then we arrived in Prachuap Khiri Khan......  Mosquito bites are doing good. Only getting a few on the coast. We didn't hear about the oil spill and we had planned to go to Ko Samet in our final week but are now revising these plans.  Hope everyones ok.  Dan and Katherine ...

... so I did not eat, something I would come to regret.
Then something strange happened. The students asked us all to stand in a circle with our eyes closed. They stood around us and sang beautifully in Thai and in French. It was very touching. They closed in around us and gave us each a small wooden key chain with Hua Hin written on it. Then we hugged goodbye and it was very sad.
