    ... to Vientiane (Laos) and spending a week in this unique, but little-known country.
    So curious to admire the mystical royal palaces and temples that tell the story of the rich Lao culture and heritage. A visit to the mysterious Plain of Jars will take us even further back in time to an archaeological site said to be 2000 years old.

    ... are taken on a 1 hour walking guided tour to most of the major highlights such as the Church of Our Lady (a huge monument), Quai of the Rosary, Market Square with the imposing Basilica of the Holy Blood, Berg Square, & Tanners Square.

    ... that nuns are women." "Well do they ask for money too?" "WHAT?" I said. "What are you talking about?" "The man back there, asking for money in a hat, was he a nun?" WHAT???!!!!" Long story, long. Sam, understandably, assumed 'NUN' was 'NONE', and that if people have nothing and are asking for money, they must be NONES. I like it.

    Anyhoo, we loved Brugge, and we loved Hotel Coreandier. If we ever return, we know where to stay, and where to get chocolate and waffles.

    ... be back in Brussels on Sunday September 23. My reservation printout says so in indisputable black and white. Go big or don't go at all, I guess. Now all that remains is filling those ninety days on U.S. soil with as much amazingness as possible. If planning that isn't as insanity-inducing as booking flights, I can't wait.
