It was a lovely sunny morning after a bad night for John who had a bout of stomach cramps and then a bad time! He thinks it was food poisoning and put himself on a 24 hour fast.

We went to the Harbour masters office to sort out more details and then we set off for Steenbergen. We left the marina in bright sunshine and fluffy clouds and the wind was much better than yesterday.

We walked through the nuns convent which is right across the school that Jaey went to. The convent itself is really quite serene, there is no talking allowed and it was the perfect weather to be going for a walk. Along our walk from the convent there is a canal which had swans and ducks. It was so beautiful, I am obsessed with swans and they are everywhere in Europe.

    Why this trip?

... out there by myself." I guess that's part of the answer to why I'm doing this: to see how I'll do out there by myself. I've never been that solely responsible for being alright in unfamiliar surroundings, and I think it'll be a great learning experience, not only about the great big world out there, but also about myself.

I don't know if I'm more myself or less when I travel. It feels like more, since I generally feel happier, more free, more alive. But ...
