    Timisoara is known for being one of Romania's most beautiful larger cities, full of pedestrian zones and green spaces. It isn't always high on the list of destinations for tourists to Romania, but became a stop out of convenience for us - reasonable trains and buses to Romanian from Belgrade can be a bit tricky, and since GEA Tours also offered a Belgrade-Timisoara shuttle, it made perfect sense for us to stop a night here.

    Thankfully it disappeared quite quickly....So headed south into Romania, did the backroads again but as that part of Hungary is quite flat is was a tad boring....

    ... at least it’s not the middle of the night like it was then. I get over the bridge and end up…even more in the middle of nowhere. There’s some sort of station maybe but it looks closed. I’m pretty far south of the train station though, so I decide to walk north along the tracks.     We finally got to the hostel and he dropped me off. Hostel Costel is pretty awesome thus far. It's a little far from the city center - about a twenty minute walk, but you can take the tram if you're lazy (I didn't). It's basically just a big house in a mostly residential area that they've turned into a hostel. There a small entrance/reception area, then a big living room/hangout area with a tv and a bunch of couches and lounges ...

    ... asked the hostel owner he said it was unlikely as it was Easter. I had a look and Timisoara were at home to Cluj university, and kick off was in 2 hours! fantastic, I grabbed my city shirt and headed off! Timisoara started well and had scored before most people had chance to get it! well that was what I thought. the majority were already in the ground and it turns out it's just another European club that plays it's home game with the stadium 3/4 empty. ...
