I'd also asked about the private shuttle to Belgrade who were supposed to call back by 7pm to confirm arrival time. The lady said they called and said they will come 7pm. That seemed odd as on the phone they told me about 3pm. ...

... Coming up by myself was a lot easier when I reached the metro for Keleti station

The train leaves at 7.10am and I know another lady from Romania that was taking the course was on this train as she had told me about booking early to get a discount. By strange co-incidence our seats were back to back on the same carriage even though we'd booked our tickets weeks apart

... town to the camp ground we stopped at numerous petrol stations, who all had gas bottles but would only swap, not sell us a full one. Bugger, no hot water/cooking again tonight and no kitchen facilities at the camp ground. Rainy day today so we didn't even bother walking into town to have a look around. I sense the seasons changing...no more complaining about the heat then...

... 330ml of local beer going for € 0,60. I met Iona, a kindergarten teacher and spoke a bit with her as she didn't speak English or Spanish, and my Romanian doesn't exceed 'multumesc' and 'est foarte frumoasa'. At 8.00pm she left and I asked her to give me a ride back to the city town (few blocks away) because I had to meet my friends for dinner soon. She was very kind and brought me back to Boulevard Revolutie to make it on time to my last dinner with Giamma ...

... him I was a teacher, he gave me a book of the pictures that children in 1989 made depicting their experience of the war. These pictures are in a permanent exhibit here, and also made an appearance in Vienna, in 2009.

In front of the museum is a part of the Berlin wall, donated recently. There is also an exhibit inside explaining the history behind the wall and its fall in 1989.
