... got poop in your pants) we boarded our vessel and off we sailed. Michael was nicknamed "the shyrate" as he wasn't participating much at first. Once the activities started up, he got into the action. Eventually we took on Barnacle Bill with our water cannons and defeated him , but alas was a sore loser and threw our treasure key into Davey Jones' locker. Fortunately our captain had some magic fairy sand that could summon it from the deep.
... costly too. We'd remembered about the number of toll gates the last time we came to Florida, and this was no exception. In the time we drove, we weren't on the road that long but it still cost us $16. We only stopped once to go to Lake Worth for petrol and hot dogs before we reached Fort Lauderdale.
Once again, getting to our hotel was an arduous chore. The GPS didn't recognise a lot of the city's overpasses, so after leaving a freeway, u-turning, rejoining ...
... CLT to the other. Our plane to CLT just arrived and we're at the gate with time to spare before boarding. Flight to GSP went without incident. After we collected bags, retrieved car from long term parking and drove home, it was 12:30 am. Long day, home, safe and sound. No place like home and being back on the grid! We'll update and wrap up this trip blog tomorrow after a good night sleep in our own bed. Sweet ...
... back to our hotel. It was about 9:00pm and let me tell you, it was still hot and humid out. I forgotten what the south the was like in the summer. I was seriously just looking forward to having a goodnight's sleep after being up for almost 24 hours and was praying for a better day and my luggage the next day! Traveling drains you out for sure. I've never travelled for a flu day like that before, so my body was definitely calling for some sleep!

... forget it …. The Caribe Café on Deck 15. We got our usual fare, ate it then downstairs to collect the rest of our items from the cabin.
However the weather did not look promising - very grey and overcast - this should be interesting as we could see at least three other ships in port.
We handed in a couple of appraisals and then walked off the ship just after 8am.
