    ... the 'Plus’ we seem to have a deluxe room with separate lounge and huge bed and balcony and great view. It is nice to get the good stuff some times. Dinner here (which is included) also received an A+, Only negative is that we are really close to a mosque and so will be awaken at 8 am by the call for prayer. I like the Italian church bells better - but when in Rome.....

    ... a quiet afternoon. Saturday we went to Üçağız, where there is a partly submerged city. There wasn't so much to see due to the submerged part, but it was a nice walk around checking out tombs and enjoying the sunshine. We ate gozleme, Turkish pancakes, for dinner which were super yum, and Brad learned how to play backgammon with a couple of local boys.     These are fantastic folks! Awesome sight - I will let the photos tell the story. Warm mineral, calcium rich waters cascade down the hillside in a series of pools. The travertine have attracted people to the area for 1000's of years. The ancient town of Hierapolis is based here at the top of the hill. There is a lot to explore and only 1 hour to do it. I paddled in happily, in a small series of pools ...

    ... one of the highlights of the tour - the best preserved Roman theatre in the world. It is bloody incredible. It dates from161 AD. Ataturk was instrumental in restoring it to its present state and it is now regularly used to stage Operas. It can seat 20,000 people - the acoustics are perfect and the opera festival is currently in full swing.
