Well I have been back for over a week now. This extraordinary experience is beginning to fade now I am in this new chapter.
I am so grateful and humbled by the whole experience. As I spend Christmas with cherished friends and dear family, I realise just how lucky I am.
The support I have had from really wonderful people who are kind and caring also humbles me. This entry is for them to say a huge THANK YOU.

... of my mind. Who really wants to come back home after 13 months of adventure? I braced myself for a culture shock when I returned and it certainly was just that, a shock. As much as it is nice to return and see friends and loved ones that freedom and sense of free spirit suddenly deserts you once you are back in the cold winter gloom of the North East of England. I love my home but I know where I would rather be. On the road looking forward and never back.
... and I have to reduce my speed even more for safety. However even at my slow speed I soon catch up with a slow moving car which is plodding along behind a large artic truck. After plodding along for a few miles behind these two vehicles the road straightens out and its now our chance to overtake this slow truck. Cleaned & got myself organised as Neil & family headed off to work + school. Meet Russell for lunch down by the docks for cod & chips = very nice and then for a drive along the coast northwards & actually found some sandy beaches.....
